Sharp

It's hello when your knives shine again with energetic sharpening and full of flow!

Sharpening your kitchen knives with stone is an art, but don't worry, we are here to guide you through the process! Follow these simple steps and you'll have your knives ready for precision cutting in no time:

1. Prepare like a real chef: Before you start, make sure you have everything you need on hand. You will need a sharpening stone, preferably medium to fine grit (1000-2000), and a container of water to wet the stone during the process. If the edge is very damaged, you should start with a 220-250 grit stone, and then refine the grain.

2. Start energetically: Hold the whetstone firmly and place it on a stable surface. Soak the stone in water for a few minutes to make sure it is well moistened. Remember that humidity is key to good sharpening!

3. Perfect angle: Hold the knife firmly and place the edge at an angle of approximately 20 degrees to the stone. Keep the angle constant as you slide the knife along the stone, forcefully but controlled. Make fluid and continuous movements, from the base to the tip of the edge.

4. Feel the rhythm: Use a back-and-forth movement, as if you were dancing to the rhythm of your favorite song. Apply even pressure to the edge as you guide it along the stone. Don't be afraid to apply some pressure, it's part of the process!

5. Take your time: Repeat this process of sliding the knife along the stone several times, alternating sides of the edge. Remember to always keep the angle constant and maintain your rhythm. Patience is a virtue in knife sharpening, so take your time to achieve an optimal result.

6. Check and perfect: After a few passes, check the sharpness of the knife. If you notice improvement but it is still not sharp enough, continue the process until you get the desired edge. If necessary, you can switch to a finer grit stone to further refine the edge.

7. Finish in style: Once you have reached the desired level of sharpness, rinse the knife well to remove any residue from the stone. It would also be good to use a leather strop to remove any burrs that may remain on the edge. Dry it carefully and admire your work. Your knife is now ready to cut like a true champion in the kitchen!

Stone sharpening knives requires practice and patience. With each sharpening, you will improve your skills and achieve more professional results. So get to work, sharpen your knives with style and enjoy a culinary experience full of precision and impeccable cutting.
